Creative Writing: The Drive
1802 Words - 7 Pages.... hand,
did not feel that way. There were hundreds of reasons why I should have stayed,
carried on, but it only took a few significant reasons to abandon my so called
perfect life in Yuma, Arizona.
I remember driving, looking out of the window at the mountains and clay colored
rocks. I realized just how beautiful it all was. Again, my thoughts turned back
to my life. The man I thought I would end up sharing my so-called perfect life
with. I could see his face, remember his smile, hear him laugh. Jim and I were
great friends for a long while. Almost a whole year, until I began to actually
feel something stronger. I had never been in love before and it had been an

Creative Writing: The Wave
327 Words - 2 Pages.... would be the perfect example
of doing the wrong thing. Well, he was only responsible for millions of deaths
of innocent men, women, children. He particularly hated Jews. The only thing
wrong is how will I show them that they are becoming similar to one of the evil
dictators ever. I could show them the dead, massacred bodies of the innocent
Jews. I would show them a movie of Hitler and his Nazi's to show these students
what they are becoming. I will tell them all that they would make great Nazi's.
I mean, look at it, how close did they come to World War Three happening in the
extreme. That would make me the new age Hitler and I can't and won't let that
happen. Well, that is w ....

Personal Writing: Fragment - Changes In Life
1149 Words - 5 Pages.... of the time people enjoy
talking about "what happened today" because most of the time it's usually funny
and it isn't really considered anything serious. Some happenings in our lives
are very serious and aren't as easy to talk about with others. Even though this
is true it does help the person feel better to talk about their problems whether
they realize it at first or not. Changes in life like these can change you both
physically and mentally for the rest of your life depending on the severity of
the situation.
In early August of `96 my life at home became a living nightmare. I
don't really know what it was that started this thing between me and my parents
but I do re ....

Creative Writing: A Sunday
2335 Words - 9 Pages.... takes off her shoes. Rolls down her rights so
that she can feel good rough ground under her feet. She digs her toes in,
and rubs her soles into the earth. They say, look at that Jessy getting
herself all dirty, Jessy you naughty girl you'll get a chill. Time to go
inside, girls.
ÐFunny that. Being called girl. Naughty naughty girls wetting themselves
and pinching. Quiet good girls slumped in the seats in the garden with
their mouths open. Waiting for it. Drinking in death.
Her voice shakes when she asks for two sections. She wants it far too much.
Practised that too in her head over and over in the nights. Listening to
them in the corridors. If Mary shits herself again ....

My New Car
337 Words - 2 Pages.... control, a cell-phone jack, AM/FM radio w/ CD changer, and a CD holder hidden in the arm rest. This car is a gem. With all these great options, how could I pass it up?
When I’m in my car I always feel safe. To enter the vehicle you can use the keyless entry system. The system is devised to protect against Car Jackers. In case of a jacking I can alert others by pressing the alert button and my car will then beep repeatedly and the lights will rapidly flash. The car does so until I repress the alert button. I can also lock and unlock my vehicle plus open the trunk. My car has seatbelts to fit each passenger and for added safety, dual airbags.
When I put my car ....

Personal Writing: My Friend's Death From AIDS
403 Words - 2 Pages.... should set aside for the research of AIDS, I
believe it is a waste of time. It is the way that money is spent, and not
the amount that is important. The leading scientists in this area have
stated that they are in very early stages of a long-term project. If you
double the amount of money set aside for research, you will not find a cure
in half the time. The billions that are currently allocated to AIDS
research are sufficient if they are used properly. I would try to put
pressure on the legislators to have a bill passed that would define the
ways money should be spent, and to monitor the progress of finding a cure
for this deadly disease.
Second and more importantly is ....

I sucked a slow, deep breath between pursed lips and held it, as if I
had a cigarette. First I remembered the smoke warm and biting; then I
remembered it menthol-cool.
Where the second person came from, I'm not certain. I was surprised to
hear Howard's voice, strong and clear from across the driveway. "I know
you, Roy Best," he said. "I know about you and Mary. You want to take her
away from me."
Roy was a short man who walked with the help of a cane. I'd seen him

and a bottle of Smirnov vodka for a pain killer.
Amir pulled into a handicap spot. "You can't park here," Aaron said.
"Sure I can," Amir replied. Aaron studied the face of the Bosnian
Immigrant. Amir had fought for two years in the war against the Serbs. His
face was remarkably pleasant, although his eyes looked as if they belonged to a
forty year old man and not a seventeen year old boy. His tan skin and wide
smile seemed out of place when one took in Amir's mohawk and torn black t-shirt.
"It's a handicap spot."
"Exactly," Amir said with a smirk. "I got you in my car, and you're ....
