Henry IV: Redemption
2050 Words - 8 Pages.... (1.1. 80),
because he has won his glory through his merits in war. Thus, Shakespeare has
set Hal and Hotspur in opposition: Hal, the prodigal prince, versus Hotspur,
the proper prince. Hal understands that he has been branded with the label,
"truant to chivalry,"(5.1. 95) and as the heir to the throne, he realizes that
it is imperative that he redeem himself not only for himself, but also for his
father and his people because life will not always be a holiday , for "If all
the year were playing holidays, To sport would be as tedious as work" (1.2. 211-

Both of these characters experienced an epiphany, a point in their lives when they realized that things have changed for the worse. They both had hubris, and both suffered for it. Hence, my confusion. Can there be more than one hero in a Greek tragedy, or is there something that I am missing.

Review Of Ballet Gran Folklorico De Mexico
343 Words - 2 Pages.... any way.
There were a few things I enjoyed (when I knew what was going on) but most
of the time I just had to pinch myself to keep from falling asleep. The
performers looked good but the way I see it is anyone who does not have a
good meaning of Mexican history is lost. I mean there were elementary
schools there, do you think they knew what was going on?
All the performances consisted of 1: Azteca - Ceremony of the
lighting of fire, 2: Ladanza De Los Queteales- dedicated to multicolor bird
named Quetzal, 3: Festompanortena- series of dances brought by French and
Spaniards, 4: Yucaton- dances of Mayan culture, Ana Murry a.k.a. "The

stole a football from the locker room. When Willy became cognizant of
Biff's actions, Wily did not punish Biff. Instead, he told Biff that the
coach was likely to congratulate Biff for his show of initiative (29, 30).
Similarly, at another point in the play Biff and Happy stole lumber from a
nearby construction site. Instead of teaching the boys a lesson in ethics
Willy was proud of his sons. In fact, he bragged about the amount of

King Oedpius: Oedpius A Person Of Great Importance
1163 Words - 5 Pages.... kingship was an act that took place fifteen years
and four of his children ago. Was it really Sophocles' intention that we
regard Oedipus as a "good" man? Oedipus accuses Tiresias and Creon, two
innocent men, of conspiring to dethrone him and take over the country.
Would a "good" man do this, lacking any evidence but his own suspicions?
Would a "good" man wish his own brother-in-law dead when no one could even
