Going Out On My Own

Personal Writing: My Vacation At Beech Mountain, North Carolina

Taking in the majestic sights the mountains have to offer gives me such a refreshed feeling—sometimes city life can leave one with a cold emptiness. Hopeful Encounter

Night set in, the stars were obscured by thick blankets of smoke. The
day was done. Stores got ready to lock up and street lights were turned on
to aid the bread winners, so they may travel safely. Few were fortunate
enough to own automobiles so they could avoid the cold dangerous streets
and dark alleyways. Most shops were already abandoned, finished for the
day. Yet few doors were still open, desperate for any last minute
customers. One such shopkeeper was Phil Anderson. Anderson had worked as

Personal Writing: Welcome To Maysville

elderly or for just a family new to the area.
Shopping in Maysville is not a problem due to the various shopping
centers and the downtown shops with park and go accessibility. With the
shops downtown you can park and the walk where ever you choose with much
convinces. I enjoy shopping in Maysville since we have a variety of stores
to choose from. We have a country club that is full of fun activities to
do including golf. The YMCA is a great place to work out at. With a pool,
running track, weight room, gym, and a daycare for the kids this a definite
place to workout at.

My realization of death started with a phone call. My mother answers, it’s my aunt, Burma. I glance over to my mother; her face is overcome by a look of sadness. “How’s Patsy handling it?” My mother asks.
