Personal Writing: Teacher On Trial For Teaching Religion In School
422 Words - 2 Pages.... If you consider reading stories a violation of
teaching religion then you might as well throw away all those fairy tale
books. What he read from the Book of Genesis and Fairy Tale books have no
difference because the are just stories. He was not teaching religion! If
he was teaching religion, then he would've not just read the stories from
the book of Genesis. The stories that he read were not religious scriptures,
but just plain old common stories.
Even if it was a religious scripture, what did this man do wrong?
Would you say taking stories from a religious book teaching religion? I
wouldn't think so. I would see it as taking parts of stories and
criticizing about ....

Where are you going? Stop running!"
Dorko stood in line for about a half hour. Not because of the lunchtime
rush, but he just didn't know to move forward. Finally, after a nice shove from
an angry customer, Dorko had his chance at the register.
"Hello, how are you doing today?" asks Dorko.
"You know, it's a funny thing. I was feeling just fine, but now I want to
lose my lunch," replies a bald, fat, sorry, weight impaired lady behind the
counter. "Well, what will it be?"
"What will what be?"

1294 Words - 5 Pages.... that are going into the navy as a career. When we got off the bus
we were forced to do pushups until nobody could do anymore. We were being
punished for being so loud and insubordinate on the bus. Some people
started crying because they couldn't do any more pushups, but still were
forced to do more.
You are probably asking, why didn't they just stop and refuse to do
the pushups? The answer is because your parents paid a lot of money for
you to go to this program. A fee of about five hundred dollars all
together. That money is for the uniforms, bus ride, reserved tickets for
the bunks, and money needed when on the base.
After that the worn out bus l ....

The Three Part Assertion Method
664 Words - 3 Pages.... down there, screaming
at him, telling him my mind, and slamming his door. That would feel great. I
haven't done this yet, and probably won't. While reading the Bolton chapter,
this scenario replayed itself over and over in my mind. Here is my revised
strategy, which might just be used if the guy bothers me again. "When you leave
your door open, I can hear your music in my room which makes if difficult for me
to get school work done. I love music too, and certainly don't want you to not
enjoy it, but please don't force others to 'enjoy' it with you. I noticed that
when your door is closed, I can no longer hear it in my room and there is no
problem. Thanks! So, wha ....

Creative Writing: A Day At The Park
530 Words - 2 Pages.... Well it was about three hours before the game,
and one hour before I got through with work. All of a sudden my phone
rings, and it was my mother-in-law "wondering" if I wanted a couple of
free view box tickets and a parking pass, for that nights Ranger game. I
couldn't have been more excited, much less believe my luck.
After I got off work , and picked up the tickets, I raced home to
get my wife and son ready to go. Over the next half hour, I almost
regretted having to bring my son, what with the hassle of getting the
diaper bag packed , the traffic, and fighting the crowds while pushing a
stroller. It was hectic, but I survived.
Finally we were situated and read ....

Creative Writing: The End Of Grendel
528 Words - 2 Pages.... the men dozed off to sleep, with their mug in hand and head on table.
I found a quiet place near the window of the mead-hall. There I would sleep with a napkin as my pillow. The stars and moon shown so bright that it made it hard to sleep. Even when I closed my eyes the sound of a random man’s snore would jolt me awake. I thought it was hopeless to even attempt to fall asleep, therefore I gazed up at the sky, hoping I would tune out the dreadful noises of drunken men.
A shadow crossed my face, blocking the stars glow. A sudden rush of fear went through my body. Just when I leapt to my feet to see what was outside the door to the mead-hall opened. My jaw fell to the gro ....
