In the same way Pip has expectations in a material level, Estella would be Pip's love expectation. In a Christian sense, the star is a quality applied to the Virgin Mary. Napoleon took over as president of the farm and decided what needed to be done and when it needed to be done. But after a while Napoleon took things out of context.
