.... Racism is mentioned throughout the second part of the novel. It is the prime and most mentioned part of this section of the novel. This message is displayed on many levels so even the lowest level reader can visibly ask oneself why this is occurring. The easiest way to observe this may be the town's actions toward Tom Robinson, the "negro" on trial. The townspeople, for the most part, dismissed the entire trial on the basis on that it does not matter what Atticus can do, Mr. Robinson is automatically guilty. Shutt was one of teh many who fled from his home town to beging working for Henry Ford at the Ford Motor Company. Wioth the promise from Henry himself that he would be able to better himself, Shutt got married, had four children, and purchased a home. He was rising in the wolrd, in fact he had already surpassed his father in that he was able to bring home a paper after a days work and still have the energy to read it. The gargoyles started to attack the party and the party stood ready to attack. The mages had cast their strongest spells to take out the gargoyles and one of the two had dropped to the ground dead. What they found on the gargoyle was a key that will help there travels to get to Innoruuks inner sanctum. After they took out the other gargoyle they had then moved on to the Castle of Undead. All of the actions taken by Roark had a deep profound effect on one key player in the novel, Toohey. Toohey with all the power he had with the public and through the newspaper, was not able to manipulate Howard into his way of thinking. The general public who read the Banner had been convinced that Toohey new what he was talking about on all subjects. His plan to manipulate the public and gather them as a whole was directly countered with every move that Howard made. One of these major moves was the building of the Stoddard ....

I do not know much more about the author except that my brother told me that Ed Greenwood writes good stories. The story takes place between –400 DR and 1369 DR. I know this because the heading of all the chapters have a date included. For reference –400 DR could be compared to our Bronze age and 1369 DR would be compared to our Medieval era. The Crucible starts after the girls in the village have been caught dancing in the woods. As one of them falls sick, rumors start to fly that there is witchcraft going on in the woods, and that the sick girl is bewitched.
