Value Judgment- Family values are important to a lot of people. Charlie, an Indian guide that Jon became friends with, had a family and left them to go with the others to the Klondike. He realized during the trip that he needed to go back to them because he was abandoning them. He left Jon and went back. He later returned with his family. That proves that he was a man that had good values and cared about his family.

transferring to a day school. Stephens' difficulties at his former educational
institution are relayed by his father, much to the chagrin of the younger
Dedalus. Later in the novel, Stephen loses even more respect for his father as
the familys' debts continue to grow and they are forced to move. Once, when the
two males travel to sell of the family estate, Simon returns to his former
school and converses with his former classmates. Stephen is upset to hear of

Injustice In To Kill A Mockingbird
341 Words - 2 Pages.... Robinson. He was charged with a crime he did not commit. His side of the story was not believed because he was black, which really shows the amount of injustice during the time the novel was set in. Through the whole trial, he did not retaliate at the white people, he did not get mad because he was improperly accused, he just showed the level of respect which everyone deserves. He handled the injustice with a manner reserved only for gentlemen, which is a good description of what he really was.
The third person to suffer injustice in the novel was Boo Radley. Many accusations were claimed about him even though they were untrue. Just because he didn't leave his house, people ....

Good as Gold is about a Jewish man named Gold. It is about Gold's
experiences with the government while being employed in the White House. It also

on the contemporary Jewish society.
Throughout these two novels, Catch-22 and Good as Gold, Heller
criticizes many institutions. In Good as Gold it is the White House and
government as a whole, and in Catch-22 it is the military and medical
institutions.

The Catcher In The Rye: Holden's View Of The World

The Stone Angel By Margaret Laurence

of these attempts fail dismally. Throughout the narration of the novel many
images are put forth repetitiously to aid the development of Hagar's
character and the main themes. The Stone Angel is a very effective story
due largely to the biblical, water, and flower imagery.
The biblical imagery is very strong and can be found numerous times
throughout the novel. The name of the main character, Hagar, is also the
name of a hand maid in a biblical story. Many parallels are made between
Margaret Laurence's Hagar and the biblical Hagar. The Hagar in the bible
