The Instigator
830 Words - 4 Pages.... even the head of the feud, Capulet. His way of
dealing with his hatred is to let it out by aggression. Tybalt is one of
the major characters of the play, in the aspect, he is responsible for the
major turn of events, as his action turn the preceding part of the play
from a short comedy into a full-length tragedy.
On the streets of Verona, Tybalt and his subject run into their
warring counterparts, Benvolio and Mercutio, of the Montague household.
Being a peaceful man, Benvolio talks of peace, trying to stay away from any
further clashes. Nevertheless, at the sound of the word “peace” Tybalt
illustrates his animosity toward the Montagues, as he repulsively responds,

A Scene From Martin Scorcese's "Mean Streets"
491 Words - 2 Pages.... Pesci have worked on numerous Scorsese films. It
seems that with such a specific view on how to make a film, Scorsese likes
to work with what he knows. For him, it seems, having actors with whom he
knows well, keeps his vision under more control.
In terms of style, Scorsese likes to experiment. In his mobster
movies, Scorsese likes to film and edit much of it like a documentary. This
is effective in helping the viewer to get acquainted with the criminal life.
Parts of Goodfellas and Mean Streets were in this style as was, to a more
obvious degree, the first half hour of Casino. Usually the narration plays
a large part in this style of filmmaking. The use of narratio ....

Macbeth: Downfall Due To Ambition And Human Weakness
683 Words - 3 Pages.... he may do
is wrong. Possibly the one time when the reader can relate to Macbeth the
best, it is seen that he is very hesitant of his action, but what over
takes him is the human flaw of ambition. As time progresses and
Shakespeare shows Macbeth's initial "fear" of Banquo; but as his mind
becomes engulfed in the his best friends murder he label's him as "your
enemy" and making sure that he is left "no rubs nor botches in the work"
Macbeth is obviously afraid of experiencing the same emotional trauma of
his first murder. Although he think he is solving his problems, his
damnation is ever progressing by making being indirectly involved in the
murder of his one time best frie ....

Macbeth: Influencial People
638 Words - 3 Pages.... Glamis, but how of Cawdor? the thane of Cawdor lives… and to be king… speak, I charge you.” (I, ii, 70-78) The witches make Macbeth curious, he wants to know how he is to be named thane of Cawdor and king.
The second person to influence Macbeth is his wife, Lady Macbeth. I also think she plays a big role in influencing Macbeth to kill Duncan. I think this because in Act II Scene vii, Lady Macbeth explains to Macbeth the plan of murdering Duncan, and when she is through Macbeth says,” If we should fail?” (I, vii, 58) Lady Macbeth answers by saying,” We fail… but screw your courage to the sticking place and we’ll not fail.” (I, vii, 59-60) I think she i ....

Romeo & Juliet
622 Words - 3 Pages.... outcome will help
someone he cares for. For example, when he says "In one respect I'll thy
assistant be; for this alliance may so happy prove, to turn your households
rancour to pure love."(Act 2, Scene 3), he is saying that the only reason
he will marry Romeo and Juliet is because he hopes that the marriage will
end the hostilities between the two houses. When he says "Shall Romeo by
my letters know our drift, and hither shall he come; and he and I shall
watch thy waking, and that very night shall Romeo bear thee to Mantua."
(Act 4, Scene 1), he tells Juliet how everything will be all right.
Unfortunately, for all his good intentions the play still ends in tragedy.

front of Polonius, Claudius, Gertrude and Ophelia, while remaining perfectly
normal in front of Horatio, Marcellus, the players and the gravedigger. Hamlet
convinces Ophelia of his madness by going into her room “with a look so
piteous in purport as if he had been loosed out of hell to speak of horrors,”
(2.1.92)and grabbed her and examined her face. Then he let out ”a sigh so
piteous and profound as it did seem to shatter all his bulk and end his being.”
(2.1.106) After that incident, Polonius believes, that Hamlet's madness “is the
very ecstasy of love.”(2.1.115) Claudius is convinced, however, that that is
not the case. He be ....

Time And Fate In Romeo And Juliet
911 Words - 4 Pages.... "Compare her face with some that I shall show,/ And I will
make thee think thy swan a crow." (I, ii, l 86-87) To show his appreciation,
the servant asks for Romeo's presence at the ball. Romeo should have
considered the servant's warning; if Romeo occupies the name of Montague, he
shall not be permitted. Once at the ball, Romeo is searching for a maiden to
substitute the unrequited love of Rosaline. Romeo happens to gaze upon Juliet,
who charms Romeo. Romeo proclaims, " Did my heart love till now? Forswear it,
sight!/ For ne'er saw true beauty till this night." (I, v, l 52-53) Since
Romeo declares his love for Juliet, she feels the attraction also. They

Othello: Almost Perfect
649 Words - 3 Pages.... facing the consequences brought upon by his over trusting nature and his everlasting jealousy.
One of Othello’s tragic flaws, which contribute to his downfall, is his open and trusting nature. For this play to be classified as a tragedy, the hero must face opposition from an outside force, in this case it is the evil antagonist Iago. Othello is a professional soldier and preaches by the rules and codes of honor thoroughly. He believes that people are honest and genuine until he has proof that they are not. The theory on judging whether or not they are your friend or foe makes Othello an attractive figure and a generous friend. However, it also leaves him vulnera ....
