Aztec Religion
562 Words - 3 Pages.... the same god. When they adopted the gods of conquered peoples or received gods from peoples of more advanced cultures, the priests would always try to incorporate them, like the Romans, into their own national pantheon, by considering them as diverse manifestations of the gods they had inherited from the great civilizations which preceded them and from which they had derived their culture ( Leon-Portilla, 1970 ).
Although the Aztec priests tried to unite in a single concept the different gods of the different tribes the people as a whole would not admit that their local god was subject to any other or that he was only an attribute of a superior being. An exception to this g ....

Enochian Scripture
1078 Words - 4 Pages.... and stitch together fact, rumor, speculation, and complete balderdash,
and the result is a vast and almost unreadable array of near-nonsense which
bears more than a superficial resemblance to Blavatsky's "Secret Doctrine".
In times past the book has been referred to as "Al Azif", or "The Book of the
Arab". Azif is a word the Arabs use to refer to nocturnal insects, but it is
also a reference to the howling of demons. It was written in seven volumes, and
is over 900 pages long in the Latin edition. Abdul Alhazred
Little is known about Abdul Alhazred. What we do know about him is
largely from the small amount of biographical information in the Necronomicon
itself. ....

Christ: VICTORY!!
617 Words - 3 Pages.... that we will be punished for our
sins. Yes, that is true, but God will forgive and forget them if we repent. You
see this is not possible without Jesus dying for our sins. In Romans 5:6-8 it
says that Christ died for all of us. Even the bad ones, ALL. This is a sign of
the Victory that Christ had won a victory here. The reason is because of all of
the lifes that he saved and will later be saved. In Romans 5 it says that Jesus
died for All Sinners! We are all sinners so his death was for all.
When Jesus says that "It is finished", he can also be reffering to the older
predictions of Christs' life. There is one in particular that it might have been
talking about in Isaiah. Tha ....

Taoism
2000 Words - 8 Pages.... Reincarnation, life after death,
beliefs are not standardized between the religions. Each religion has a
different way of applying this concept to its beliefs. Ignorance of these
beliefs is a sign of weakness in the mind. To truly understand ones own
religion, one must also understand those concepts of the other religions of
the world. Hopefully this will be an enlightenment on the reincarnation
concepts as they apply to Taoism and Buddhism.
The goal in Taoism is to achieve tao, to find the way. Tao is the
ultimate reality, a presence that existed before the universe was formed
and which continues to guide the world and everything in it. Tao is
sometimes identif ....

Argument About The Exist Of God
303 Words - 2 Pages.... of reasoning that we call logic then how could
the Atheist system account for the laws of logic. First they are immaterial and
universal, and how could anything immaterial and universal be accounted for in a
naturalistic (matter only) universe. Second if God has established these laws of
reasoning then there would be no atheism. An Atheist wants to believe in laws of
logic which are universal in application, but in order to escape the ultimate
implications of this idea ( there is a God who imposes universal standards of
reason.), the Atheist will try to maintain that the “laws of logic” are merely “
conventions” of general agreement amongst them. This is philosophica ....

The Bible And The Word "Inspire"
849 Words - 4 Pages.... is, in fact, inspired, not a
collection of false statements.
There are times in the Bible and in Biblical history that the prophets
themselves are confronted with people doubting the validity of the scripture,
and trying to discredit it. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man
of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." Here Timothy is
relating a charge given to him by Paul. As a story that is being told, it can be
easily inferred that Paul had confronted opposition to the belief that scripture
was in fact inspired by God, and therefore valid. Using literary criticis ....
