My parents are quietly disappointed, and some friends have acted self-righteous about their unwavering faiths, while as far as I can see, they preach Christianity, but don't come close to practicing it. Strangers I have met at work ahve invited me to join them in their worship. I get pamphlets on my car, and messages on my answering machine. It seems taht everyone is trying to "save" me. From myself? From eternal damnations? I have a lingering suspicion that I am supposed to bleive in "something", so I try to reach deep within me for some spiritual faith. David making Jerusalem the capital of their kingdom and Solomon building
the first Temple located in Jerusalem, which is important to Jews because
it housed the Ark of the Covenant which Jews see as important to them
because it is a symbol of their freedom from slavery and the Covenant God
made with Moses, and allowed Jews to establish their promised land.

valid resource to use when trying to explain Christianity and faith. For
example, it is amazing how one can justify his faith to a strong Catholic family
whentrying to prove that salvation is a free gift and not a time card for "good
works." There is much difference between the religion of Catholicism and non-
denominational Christianity. Though both groups believe in one God, the same
God, growing up in the midst of the bickering of the two groups can confuse a
child and bring bitterness toward this God that Christians believe is all-loving.
