Nuclear Weapons Are A Threat To All
863 Words - 4 Pages.... that is what they are made of.
Fission weapons cause an explosion by the splitting of atomic
nuclei. This happens when a neutron collides with the nucleus of an atom.
The protons in the nucleus are transformed into a great amount of energy
and two or three more neutrons are sent out, which go on to split other
nuclei. If this continues a process called a chain reaction will occur.
When this happens a fission explosion is the result. To form a chain
reaction, a certain amount of material is needed. This amount is known as
the critical mass. If the amount is too small it is known as a
subcritical mass. The critical mass of a material depends on its purity.

Creation Vs. Evolution
933 Words - 4 Pages.... he him; male and female created he them" (Genesis 1:21, 27). To Doug LaPointe, the author of Top Evidences against the Theory of Evolution, there are nine articles of evidence pointing weaknesses in evolution, or strong points in creation. The first evidence is that there are no links between the fossil record and present times; therefore, there is nothing to show that evolution actually happened. Second, that natural selection cannot advance an organism to a higher order. The third being that although evolutionists believe life just came about, matter resulted from nothing, and humans evolved from animals, all of these are against scientific and natural understanding ....

"It is projected that nearly half of all the babies born today will spend some time in a one-parent family which occurred as a result of single parenthood or divorce" (Shiono and Quinn 15). This fact indicates that the future of this world will be in the hands of the people who have lived through at least one divorce. That's why, there should be more emphasis given to divorce and more solutions should be presented for the well being of our children.

Philosophy
329 Words - 2 Pages.... we are subjected to things that become
integrated into our lives, and we are left with the agony
of trying to figure out the right or wrong answer which was
posed. We as individuals sub-consiciously ask ourselves
questions that at the moment do not occur to us that we are
being philosophical by how we think. Philosophy is life,
without it we would not be able to ask the questions which
are associated with the whole concept of philosophy; such
as, Is their a God? morally, we are brought up to believe
that God truly exists through religion, but how can we be
so sure? It has been said that philosophy does not have a
right or wrong answer, but could it ....

Sin Is Ignorance - Socratic De
343 Words - 2 Pages.... odsecure his intelligence.
But also when this assumed, the stiff-necked and tough-lived difficulty returns, promoting the question whether at the instant a man began to obsecure his intelligence he was distinctly conscious of what he is doing. If he was not distinctly of this, then his intelligence was already somewhat obsecured before he began, and the question merely returns again. If it is assumed on the contrary that when he began to obsecure his intelligence he was distinctly conscious of it, then sin (even though it be unconsciousness, seeing that this was an induced state) would not lie in the intelligence but in the will, and the question which must be raised is about ....
