You have no idea who he is and where he from, but all we know is that he looks just like the main character. Which is a mystery and asks the questions how? He had Daddy’s blue eyes, Daddy’s dark brown hair, he sounded like Daddy; he was a dead-ringer for the Martin Stillwater pictured on the dust jackets of his books,” pg.12. .... after a lot of useless chatter and talk and the introduction of two young characters, Arby and Kelley, who are students of Levine’s and sometimes run errands for him. Almost immediately after they arrive, Levine and his assistant, Diego, begin to search for clues to what the science community calls “aberrant forms”, which many people have spotted but have been unable to identify. They come to a stream bed, where they are attacked by a group of unidentifiable animals. They capture and kill Diego, and Levine is nearly killed. Malcom and his team of field researchers finally make it to the island - and Arby and Kelley stow away in one of the many high-tech ....

When examining the tragic elements of each play we see neither man is a more perfect tragic model than the other. Fate and free will were powerful life forces for both character. Oedipus was tragically doomed by fate at birth when it was foretold by Apollo that he would kill his father and marry his mother. Oedipus felt that he could escape his fate, relaying his own free will. However, his choices led him directly to his fate. In Willy's world, fate was not predetermined by the gods but by society. To my astonishment, I found the book to be very interesting and read most of it in a single sitting. Using the principles of Zen Buddhism and the ideals of the Lakota Sioux warrior, Phil Jackson teaches his players how to work hard even when the spotlight is on someone else. The book continues on subjects like religion, spirituality, and unity among the team and with ones self. These were all new concepts for me.
