However, Aegisthus had been warned: “we ourselves had sent Hermes, the keen-eyed Giant-slayer, to warn him neither to kill the man nor to court his wife” (pg. 4). In contrast to the book, the movie seemed plain on this point, because we hear the characters speak, but we do not get to know the real thoughts and feelings of the characters. Goldman really had no way of telling us what the character was all about. The director should have expressed the characters thoughts into words, which is not that difficult to do. Another change that happened when developing the novel into a movie, was that the Zoo of Death was not shown in the movie. .... similarity of different plots and characters can illustrate Shakespeare's perfect use of parallelism in King Lear. Parallelism is greatly enhanced by the use of subplots, for it creates emphasis and suspense. The parallel between Lear and Gloucester displayed in the play cannot possibly be accidental. The subplot of Gloucester corresponds the major plot of Lear. The two fathers have their own loyal legitimate child, and their own evil and disloyal kin. He views his proposal as doing Elizabeth and indeed the whole Bennet family a favour, by allowing them to keep Longbourn Estate in the family so to speak. While his proposal was comical in aspect it was also a looking glass into English society, through his long drawn out protests at Elizabeth's rejection of him he gives the reader an insight into English society and particularly the roles of women. Traveler" comes to tell the group of his own experiment using his philosophies and hypothesis on time travel, and in order to test his hypothesis "The Time Traveler" has made a model which he will use to test his theory on time travel. group all agrees to keep an open mind on the experiment, and not jump to any immediate conclusions by calling the model an illusion if it works. "The Time Traveler" sets the model on the table and throws the switch; the model then disappears and successfully travels into time.
