None of the main characters are truly noble or virtuous but no one really is. Of all the main characters I find that Brutus has the least amount of flaws. But he too is not deficient of flaws. Upon his wife's death, Charles married an attractive young women named Emma Roualt, the daughter of one of his patients. Emma married Charles with overwhelming expectations. She thought marriage would be filled with three things, "bliss, passion, and ecstasy". Emma had a character that was 1) dissatisfied 2) adulterous and 3) free spending. Told to warriors right before they went out to battle. The story teller would have possibly sang this story so that it could be remembered. Because of this there is a certain flow to the piece, not any rhyming, but there is a general flow. The first sign of alliteration occurs on the first line of the piece extracted from the story. .... not like the gold rush. People during the gold rush did not have to leave their homes. They left voluntarily. It was a totally different story during The Grapes of Wrath. The men who drove the “cats” (caterpillar tractors) came to the houses of the people and told them that they had to leave by a certain time. If they did not leave, they would be put in jail and then the men on the cats would plow over their houses anyway with no remorse. When asked why they did this, they simply said that they had a family to feed just like the rest of the people who were suffering during this difficult time. Most of the families that the movie showed were very reluctant ....

.... a tragic flaw. Cyrano speaks with Roxane after speaking with Christian and finding out that Roxane has really fallen in love with him and not with Christian. While talking with Roxane, Christian sets out on a mission and dies. Cyrano never gets to tell her that it is really him that she has fallen in love with and it was he who wrote the letters because their conversation was interrupted when Christian is brought back dead. Not telling Roxane that it was him and not proclaiming his love to her then was Cyrano's tragic flaw and he suffered tremendously because of it. In this play Cyrano is also a hero.
