.... it involved a lot of paper work which was very tedious for both the doctor's office and the specialist. This became very confusing to the patients who were used to going to see any doctor they wanted without having referrals. The other biggest hassle with the HMO's, patients usually had a co-pay, which they needed to pay as they checked in with the receptionists. I can honestly say that this was the worst part of my job, and I know the other receptionists I worked with felt as I did. Most of the patients were quite rude about having to pay this before they even saw the doctor, but if you didn't collect this co-pay the patient would never stop to pay it on their way out ....

.... task of sixty-five men cleaning a room seven or eight times just to look busy. During this two hours of boredom I orchestrated a plan to sneak over to the Exchange. My biggest problem was getting out of the barracks. I decided that the night was the best time to try to make my excursion. The only problem was at night there are two unarmed guards on watch and only two doors out of the barracks. I knew as a watch standee myself that the rear watch must report to the forward watch every fifteen minutes leaving me plenty of opportunities to come and go and I only needed two. My bed was near the rear of the barracks so I was in luck. I would also have to dress dark to b ....
