The Reaper's Image
1141 Words - 5 Pages.... becomes sick and leaves for the
bathroom. The story ends with Carlin waiting for Spangler to return.
I thought that this story was very good, because it started off really
slow and worked it's way into a really interesting plot. I liked the end
because it never really finished, it left the ending up to the reader. This
seems to be a common theme in a lot of Stephen King's stories. He likes to
leave the reader in suspense, and keep them wondering.
Here There Be Tygers

Evolution Of They Dystopia
634 Words - 3 Pages.... Orwell wrote the novel Animal Farm as a direct result of the events surrounding the Soviet Revolution. In writing the Communist Manifesto in 1848, Karl Marx theorized the creation of a revolutionary new form of government which had the potential to cure the ills plaguing early nineteenth century capitalist Europe. The creation of a government based on these principles occurred in 1917 with the Russian Revolution. The corruption which followed within this government gave Orwell the basis to construct the dystopia found in Animal Farm. The feudalist dystopia found in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World is altered by the inspirational theories of Karl Marx and by the Russian R ....

expressing the characters social behaivors. Instead of upfront making fun of
Hulks actions he hints towards them or tries to glorify them when he does
something that is socially wrong or unintelligent. Huck stages his death. This
is not a real bright thing to do even though Huck's father is real mean and is a
threat to his life and Huck's life. Huck wants to get away from him so bad that
the first thing that comes into his mind is to stage his death so Pap will think
he's dead and won't be looking for him ever again. Twain feels that by making
Huck do this Twain is poking fun a Huck's intelligence. Not his ....

Animal Farm
1009 Words - 4 Pages.... his demands.....failing.Introduction-
When I first looked at this book I thought It would be a children's
storybook. Then I noticed the thickness of the novel and opened it up. I read
the introduction and found that the novel was based on a political matter, and I
thought that the title was just a metaphor, and there were no "animals" in the
story. As I read I discovered the whole thing was a metaphor.
The five topics I'll be covering are:
1. plot structure
2. conflict
3. point of view
4. symbolism and figuration language
5. theme and author's vision
I hope this essay shows the ideas of Eric Blai ....
