988 Words - 4 Pages.... instances where fate is blamed for a mishap is
when Romeo cries out the he supposedly is fortune's fool. He claims that fate
has brought on Mercutio's death, and has lead him to kill Tybalt in revenge.
In Act 3, Scene 1 of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is seen to be upset at
Mercutio's death and predicts that the “days black fate on more days doth
depend.” (III, I, 118) Tybalt then re-enters and Romeo becomes more upset that

Advertising Strategy
727 Words - 3 Pages.... purpose except to stand by the copy machine and print
off adds. I recommend that the ads should be no fewer than 300. I agree
this will take some time, but in the long run, it will save us time in the
places where we need it the most. Tuesday, is the first day of the week
where we will go out and distribute 200 of the ads to places such as Best
buy and Gateway. I site these places first because of the fact that the
average house hold mother does all of her shopping earlier in the week as
opposed to later in the week. The target audience I plan to promote to
will be identified later.
On Wednesday, again two people will run off 300 ads and will be
prepared to distribute ....

Hamlet: Video Comparison
548 Words - 2 Pages.... they seem as though they where once very much in love, and that their
relationship would have blossomed if it wasn't for the recent interference.
Their conversation remains about their love for each other and then they kiss.
It seems as though after the kiss, Hamlet realizes what might be going on and
asks where Polonius is. Hamlet then realizes that he is in the room and
continues his charade of acting mad. I think that this interpretation is the
best one because it reflects my view of this scene as well as what I think
Shakespeare's intentions were.
Another version was the with Lawrence Olivier. Compared with the other
two, this version didn't quite seem as realistic. ....

Hamlet: The Tragic Hero
963 Words - 4 Pages.... hero's death can't be avoided, and in a tragedy the sad part is that it could. Hamlet's death could have been avoided many times. Hamlet had many opportunities to kill Claudius, but did not take advantage of them. He also had the option of making his claim public, but instead he chose not too. A tragic hero doesn't need to be good. For example, MacBeth was evil, yet he was a tragic hero, because he had free will. He also had only one flaw, and that was pride. He had many good traits such as bravery, but his one bad trait made him evil. Also a tragic hero doesn't have to die. While in all Shakespearean tragedies, the hero dies, in others he may live bu ....

The Madness Of Prince Hamlet
2182 Words - 8 Pages.... a solid opinion about role playing. This difficulty is not present, however, at the start of the play.
In the first act Hamlet appears to be very straightforward in his actions and inner state. When questioned by Gertrude about his melancholy appearance Hamlet says, ÊSeems, madam? Nay it is. I know not ÈseemsiË (1.2.76). This is to say ÊI am what I appear to be.Ë Later he makes a clear statement about his state when he commits himself to revenge. In this statement the play makes an easy to follow shift. This shift consists of Hamlet giving up the role of a student and mourning son. Hamlet says,
I'll wipe away all trivial fond records,
All saws of books, all forms, all ....

Raw Deal: Film Techniques
1062 Words - 4 Pages.... of lighting can create depth, dramatic effects, emotional mood, and atmosphere. There are two different intensities of lighting, low-key lighting and high-key lighting. In the scene where Joe Sullivan escapes from prison, Pat is waiting in the car and all that you can see is her face, a result of low-key lighting. The use of this type of lighting is used to increase the intensity of the scene and define the mood. By directing their attention to Pat’s face, the audience can concentrate on her facial expressions and sense her fear. The direction of the light also plays a key role in creating a successful visual image. An example of this is the use of front-lighti ....
